Just spotted that Martin Kettle has what can only be described as a very 'brave viewpoint' on the whole expenses scandal in today's edition of the Guardian!... he actually makes some very good points, but I'm not entirely convinced that such a line of argument will elicit much sympathy from many members of the public at the current time :-(
