I've tried my very best to steer clear of American politics for a bit - think my last entry on the ongoing contest was this, now over two months ago!... but, the first head-to-head televised debate, which appears to be going ahead this evening (well, first thing tomorrow morning), has grabbed my interest again - I'm still of the firm opinion that Obama is going to win by a comfortable margin in November, but I guess tonight will be a good guide as to the current state of play in the Obama V McCain contest?
