Attended the Planning Sub-Committee this morning (agenda here) as I do have some concerns about a current local planning application in Grove Street - full report here (it's a pretty large file, so may take some time to load!) ...... I really do feel the plans, as proposed, will result in a loss of residential amenity for the local residents, and was pleased that the Sub-Committee unanimously agreed to a 'site-visit' before reaching any final determination.
Lets hope the visit will bring home to the Members just how densely developed the area already is, whilst retaining a pretty healthy residential community ... a combination that certainly requires a careful balancing act for any new developments.
