Just finished watching our "Snow Falling on Cedars" video at home this evening (a film based on David Guterson's book of the same name) ... I really cannot recommend the film (or the book) highly enough.I've never understood why the film didn't attract more critical praise when it was released in 1999/2000 ...
... it is completely absorbing and I've not seen (with the possible exception of The Crucible) a better portrayal of love, hate and the fear of difference.
It is a truly haunting tale containing absolutely timeless messages.
