New local food initiative?
Spotted that a very local (Shandon!) food initiative is being punted via a new (I think?) website ...
... sounds like a throughly sensible idea - maybe I should offer to provide some produce from the allotment ;-))

Getting people growing food in their own gardens and backgreens is a great idea.
I'm using my allotment as a nursery, and have propagated strawberries and blackcurrants so I can transplant them into the garden later this year. It's great stepping out of the house and collecting some herbs for use in cooking; how much better would it be to step out and grab some fresh fruit!

Many thanks for the comment.
Couldn't agree more - I think the proposed project seems a great idea and I hope it gets the requested funding in due course ...
