A lot of really commendable work happening in the area of 'Youth Offending' diversionary work - there seems to be, at last, a proper grasp of the connectedness of many of the issues that a wide variety of agencies deal with in this policy area.
I did end the afternoon though, with a lingering worry that all the focus - a commendable focus! - is on youngsters from Primary 4 upwards ... and, for me anyhow, I believe many problems are so deep-seated that if they can't be addressed prior to Primary age then it may simply be too late to successfully break the cycle of offending?
