No jargon here?

This story from yesterday has just caught my eye ... some 200 words banned from Councils' use South of the Border!

I wonder if anyone will pay attention in Scotland ... not that City of Edinburgh Council reports ever contain this type of jargon ;-)

I notice "on time and on budget" seems to be missing....

What can I say ... have a look at this:

http://www.audit-scotland.gov.uk/docs/central/2007/nr_070620_edin_transport_project.pdf

- published in June 2007; and remember the lofty position I've occupied since then :-(

For those intervening 2-years, the political management of the tram project (and do have a quick look at the link to see what the Auditor General made of it in June 2007) has been elsewhere.

Very , Very , Very sad people with limited vocab or they have vast ammounts of time to compile such a list. Do they get fired instantly when they use any of these meaningless words or phrases?

I bet their carbon foot is huge as the publish this list round all the councils and departments.

What a waste !
