I've mentioned the tragedy of the severe funding reductions for numerous North Edinburgh projects fairly frequently recently - see here for my latest entry on this issue ...
... the North Edinburgh News (NEN) has all the gruesome details in its December edition - here.
Not reading for the faint-hearted I'm afraid :-(

Whilst I agree that some of the cuts are not good for the community. It is also not good for the community that one of the community projects paid the manager the princely sum of £63,000 p.a.
Maybe that project's cut will take this into consideration and the services supplied by the project not be affected.

Thanks for the comment.
Its the sheer scale of these cuts - all in one geographic community - that seriously worries me. No where else in the city has had this 'scale' of problem with the migration from CRF to FSF funding.
I'm absolutely certain that, in the long-term, North Edinburgh is going to suffer badly. These are short-term decisions that could have been managed much better - indeed, they have been in most other parts of the town.

A cynical reader might think you totally dodged the comment.

Thankfully not all readers of this blog are cynical ;-)
... more seriously, you may well have a point - I don't know 'all' the individual project details - but hope you'd agree that the wider picture of some 800K-reductions is not good.
Andrew
Yeah, dodging comments here is like dodging bullets in Cyprus 1974.....neither happened. x
