Seven candidates in my own patch - Fountainbridge/Craiglockhart (Ward No.9) ... all four main parties, plus Greens, SSP and Solidarity ... no Independents?... although there are several spread across many of the other new multi-member Wards in the City.

We have one ward in Paisley that has 12 candidates! Big changes and no one knows how this will affect voting, just remember use your top voting preferences for your local Labour Candidates!
Edinburgh has thrived through the Labour Council (as has Renfrewshire) and will only continue to do so with Labour!

There's actually one Ward (Portobello/Craigmillar) in Edinburgh with 14 candidates believe it or not ... and it's only electing 3 councillors!
As you indicate - almost impossible to judge what's going to happen in a Ward like that ...
