I even admitted to agreeing with a Liberal-Democrat on this issue :-((

My only rider was that it does seem rather odd (to say the least) that Westminster is now passing more Scottish-related legislation than Holyrood? ... and its not as if Holyrood is 'weeding out' loads of poor legislation - its just not doing much 'legislating' of any description at all!

AndrewAndrewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01684349200288599810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6662128.post-55007169965101628812008-05-19T17:54:00.000+01:002008-05-19T17:54:00.000+01:00You suggest this in your original post, but what i...You suggest this in your original post, but what is so bad about not passing legislation? I know that's the role of the US Congress - rejecting bad legislation.

Less legislation the better if you ask me.Ewan Watthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18193162057108452435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6662128.post-53345713471277736452008-05-15T16:26:00.000+01:002008-05-15T16:26:00.000+01:00CalumThanks for the comment - I stand corrected!I ...Calum

Thanks for the comment - I stand corrected!

I should have said "bills that apply to Scotland" and not that are "purely Scottish". My mistake.

You'd still have to agree that it is nevertheless quite an odd situation? - although, as I say, I do think that the first 8-years of devoluton were pretty 'legislative-heavy' ... but we appear to have gone from one extreme to the other!

Andrew

P.S. and thanks for the link ...Andrewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01684349200288599810noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6662128.post-30355020868114150782008-05-15T15:47:00.000+01:002008-05-15T15:47:00.000+01:00None of the Bills proposed at Westminster is purel...None of the Bills proposed at Westminster is purely Scottish, Andrew.
